Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody detects ephexin-1 (gene NGEF) in human samples and is validated for Western blot, flow cytometry and ELISA.
Ephexin-1 (NGEF) is a Dbl-family guanine nucleotide exchange factor for Rho GTPases, highly expressed in the brain. Downstream of the EphA4 receptor, it shifts activity toward RHOA, which drives growth cone collapse during axon guidance and regulates dendritic spine development.

Immunogen
Recombinant human NGEF fragment (Glu82–Gln627), expressed in E. coli. Sequence identity with the mouse and rat orthologs: 91.1% and 90.9%, respectively.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human. UniProt places ephexin-1 in the cytoplasm, membrane and cell projection. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Highly expressed in brain specifically in caudate nucleus and to a lower extent in amygdala and hippocampus.
