Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody recognizes H/ACA ribonucleoprotein complex subunit 2 (gene NHP2) in human samples and is validated for Western blot, ICC/IF, flow cytometry, immunoprecipitation and ELISA. The predicted molecular weight is 17.2 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 20 kDa.
NHP2 is a core protein of H/ACA small nucleolar ribonucleoproteins, together with dyskerin, NOP10 and GAR1. These particles convert selected uridines in rRNA into pseudouridine and also stabilize the telomerase RNA component, so NHP2 is studied in ribosome biogenesis and telomere maintenance.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human SH-SY5Y cells, human Caco-2 cells, human HeLa cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 12% SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.
Samples with confirmed staining (ICC/IF): A549 cells.
Samples with a confirmed result (IP): SH-SY5Y cells.
Samples with a confirmed signal (flow cytometry): Caco-2 cells.

Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human. UniProt places H/ACA ribonucleoprotein complex subunit 2 in the nucleus. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Expressed in brain, colon, heart, kidney, ovary, pancreas, placenta, prostate, skeletal muscle, small intestine, spleen, testis and thymus. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
