Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody targets neuromedin-S (gene Nms) in mouse and rat samples and is validated for IHC and ELISA. The predicted molecular weight is 17.9 kDa.
Neuromedin S is a neuropeptide produced mainly in the suprachiasmatic nucleus of the hypothalamus. It is a ligand for the neuromedin U receptors and has been implicated in regulating circadian rhythms, as well as feeding and hormone release, so it is studied in mouse models of neuroendocrine control.

Validated Applications
| IHC (paraffin sections) | 2–5 µg/mL (Mouse, Rat) |
|---|---|
| ELISA | 0.1–0.5 µg/mL |
Samples with confirmed staining (IHC): mouse brain tissue, rat brain tissue.
Recommended antigen retrieval: heat-mediated, in TE buffer (pH 9.0); citrate buffer (pH 6.0) can be used instead.
Conditions in the example images (IHC): heat-mediated antigen retrieval in EDTA buffer (pH 8.0).
Immunogen
Recombinant mouse Nms fragment (Asp36–Asn144), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with mouse and rat. UniProt describes neuromedin-S as a secreted protein.
