Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody detects nicotinamide N-methyltransferase (gene NNMT) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, ICC/IF, immunoprecipitation and ELISA.
Nicotinamide N-methyltransferase (NNMT) transfers a methyl group from S-adenosylmethionine to nicotinamide, forming N1-methylnicotinamide, a main route for vitamin B3 clearance. By consuming S-adenosylmethionine it can lower cellular methylation capacity and influence epigenetic marks. It is highly expressed in liver and adipose tissue and is studied in metabolism and cancer.
