Product Overview
Clone 18N41 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes nuclear receptor subfamily 1 group D member 1 (gene NR1D1) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC, ICC/IF and flow cytometry. The predicted molecular weight is 66.8 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 55 kDa.
Rev-erbα (NR1D1) is a heme-binding nuclear receptor that acts as a transcriptional repressor in the circadian clock. It rhythmically represses core clock genes such as BMAL1 and CLOCK and also controls genes of lipid and glucose metabolism and inflammation. It is studied as a link between the clock and metabolism.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human HeLa cells, human HepG2 cells, human U-87MG cells, human U2OS cells, rat liver tissue, rat RH35 cells, mouse liver tissue, mouse HEPA1–6 cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 1:500 overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:500, ECL detection.
Immunogen
Synthetic peptide based on the sequence of human NR1D1.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt places nuclear receptor subfamily 1 group D member 1 in the nucleus, cytoplasm and cell projection. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Widely expressed. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
