Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody recognizes nuclear receptor subfamily 2 group C member 2 (gene NR2C2) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC, flow cytometry and ELISA. The predicted molecular weight is 65.4 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 68 kDa.
TR4 (NR2C2) is an orphan nuclear receptor that can repress or activate transcription. It dampens signaling by several nuclear receptors, including retinoic acid, vitamin D, thyroid hormone and estrogen receptors, and together with TR2 it helps repress embryonic and fetal globin genes. It is studied in hematopoiesis, spermatogenesis and metabolism.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human U2OS cells, human HEL cells, human Jurkat cells, human K562 cells, rat brain tissue, rat thymus tissue, mouse brain tissue, mouse thymus tissue.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Samples with confirmed staining (IHC): mouse testis tissue.
Recommended antigen retrieval: heat-mediated, in TE buffer (pH 9.0); citrate buffer (pH 6.0) can be used instead.
Immunogen
Recombinant human NR2C2 fragment (Arg7–Leu596), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt places nuclear receptor subfamily 2 group C member 2 in the nucleus. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
