Product Overview
Clone 24N10 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes nuclear receptor subfamily 2 group E member 1 (gene NR2E1) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot. The predicted molecular weight is 42.6 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 48 kDa.
TLX (NR2E1) is an orphan nuclear receptor that binds DNA as a monomer and mainly acts as a transcriptional repressor. It keeps neural stem cells in a self-renewing state in the developing and adult forebrain and is needed for normal retinal development. TLX is studied in neurogenesis and brain tumors.

Immunogen
Synthetic peptide based on the sequence of human NR2E1.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt places nuclear receptor subfamily 2 group E member 1 in the nucleus. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Brain specific. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
