Product Overview
Clone ACOH-14 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes neuronal cell adhesion molecule (gene NRCAM) in human and rat samples and is validated for Western blot and immunoprecipitation. The predicted molecular weight is 143.9 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 144 kDa.
NrCAM is an immunoglobulin-superfamily cell adhesion molecule of the L1 family expressed in the nervous system. It mediates neuron–glia contacts, supports neurite outgrowth and axon guidance, and helps assemble nodes of Ranvier on myelinated axons. It is studied in axon guidance, myelination and synapse development.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): rat brain tissue.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 8% SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 1:1000 overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.

Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human and rat. UniProt describes neuronal cell adhesion molecule as secreted and also located in the cell membrane and cell projection.
