Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody recognizes N-terminal Xaa-Pro-Lys N-methyltransferase 2 (gene NTMT2) in human and rat samples and is validated for Western blot and ELISA.
NTMT2 (METTL11B) is an N-terminal methyltransferase closely related to NTMT1 that methylates proteins starting with an X-Pro-Lys motif. It works mainly as a monomethylase and can prime substrates for further methylation by NTMT1, making it of interest in studies of protein N-terminal modification.

Immunogen
Recombinant human NTMT2 fragment (Met1–Ser283), expressed in E. coli. Sequence identity with the mouse and rat orthologs: 93.6% and 93.3%, respectively.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human and rat. UniProt places N-terminal Xaa-Pro-Lys N-methyltransferase 2 in the nucleus.
