Product Overview
Clone DFE-14 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes nuclear pore complex protein Nup98-Nup96 in human samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC and ICC/IF. The predicted molecular weight is 197.6 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 120 kDa.
Nup98 is produced with Nup96 from a single precursor that is cleaved by self-processing; Nup98 is a mobile FG-repeat nucleoporin involved in two-way transport through the nuclear pore complex. It also influences gene expression inside the nucleus, and NUP98 fusion proteins are well-known drivers of acute myeloid leukemia.
