Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody recognizes V(D)J recombination-activating protein 1 (gene rag1) in Nurse shark samples.
RAG1 is the catalytic subunit of the RAG recombinase that, together with RAG2, cuts DNA at recombination signal sequences to start V(D)J recombination. This process assembles the diverse antibody and T-cell receptor genes of developing lymphocytes, and RAG1 is conserved across jawed vertebrates, including sharks such as the nurse shark.

Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with Nurse shark. UniProt places V(D)J recombination-activating protein 1 in the nucleus.
