Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody detects oncomodulin-1 (gene OCM) in human samples and is validated for IHC and ELISA. The predicted molecular weight is 12.2 kDa.
Oncomodulin (OCM) is a small EF-hand calcium-binding protein of the parvalbumin family. It is highly expressed in outer hair cells of the cochlea and in some tumors, and it has also been studied as a macrophage-derived factor that promotes axon regeneration.

Validated Applications
| IHC (paraffin sections) | 2–5 µg/mL (Human) |
|---|---|
| ELISA | 0.1–0.5 µg/mL |
Samples with confirmed staining (IHC): human colon adenocarcinoma tissue, human liver cancer tissue, human lung cancer tissue, human placenta tissue, human thyroid cancer tissue, human tonsil tissue.
Recommended antigen retrieval: heat-mediated, in TE buffer (pH 9.0); citrate buffer (pH 6.0) can be used instead.
Conditions in the example images (IHC): heat-mediated antigen retrieval in EDTA buffer (pH 8.0).
Immunogen
Recombinant human OCM fragment (Met1–Ser110), expressed in E. coli. Sequence identity with the mouse and rat orthologs: 88.1% and 89%, respectively.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human.
