Product Overview
Clone AEBG-16 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes POU domain, class 2, transcription factor 2 (gene POU2F2) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, ICC/IF, immunoprecipitation and flow cytometry. The predicted molecular weight is 51.2 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 58 kDa.
OCT2 (POU2F2) is a POU-domain transcription factor expressed mainly in B lymphocytes and neurons. It binds the octamer DNA motif and, together with its coactivator BOB1, drives immunoglobulin and other B-cell genes. OCT2 staining is used to identify B-cell lineage, and it is studied in lymphocyte biology and lymphoma.

Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt places POU domain, class 2, transcription factor 2 in the cytoplasm and nucleus. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Isoform 3 is B-cell specific. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
