Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody recognizes ornithine decarboxylase (gene ODC1) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot and ELISA.
Ornithine decarboxylase (ODC1) carries out the committed, rate-limiting reaction of polyamine synthesis, converting ornithine to putrescine. Polyamines are needed for cell growth, so ODC is tightly regulated by antizyme and rapid turnover and is widely studied in proliferation and cancer biology.
