Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody targets 2-oxoglutarate dehydrogenase-like, mitochondrial (gene OGDHL) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, ICC/IF, flow cytometry and ELISA. The predicted molecular weight is 114.5 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 100 kDa.
OGDHL is a brain-enriched homolog of OGDH that can serve as the E1 component of the 2-oxoglutarate dehydrogenase complex in the TCA cycle. It helps convert 2-oxoglutarate into succinyl-CoA while generating NADH, and it is studied in neuronal metabolism and as a gene often silenced in tumors.

Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.25 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.
Samples with confirmed staining (ICC/IF): U2OS cells.
Samples with a confirmed signal (flow cytometry): U937 cells.
Immunogen
Recombinant human OGDHL fragment (Met1–Phe1010), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt places 2-oxoglutarate dehydrogenase-like, mitochondrial in the mitochondrion matrix. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Expressed in the brain and the liver. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
