Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody targets protein OS-9 (gene OS9) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, ICC/IF and ELISA. The predicted molecular weight is 75.6 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 83 kDa.
OS-9 is an ER-resident lectin of the HRD1 ubiquitin ligase complex that recognizes misfolded glycoproteins by their trimmed mannose glycans. It delivers these proteins for ER-associated degradation (ERAD), making it a topic in protein quality control and ER stress.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human HeLa cells, human 293T cells, human HL-60 cells, rat pancreas tissue, mouse pancreas tissue.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.
Samples with confirmed staining (ICC/IF): Siha cells.

Recombinant human OS9 fragment (Gln56–Glu635), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt places protein OS-9 in the endoplasmic reticulum lumen. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Ubiquitously expressed. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
