Product Overview

Clone 19O67 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes protein OS-9 (gene OS9) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC, ICC/IF and immunoprecipitation. The predicted molecular weight is 75.6 kDa; the supplier reports observed bands at 83 kDa, 97 kDa.

OS-9 is an ER-resident lectin of the HRD1 ubiquitin ligase complex that recognizes misfolded glycoproteins by their trimmed mannose glycans. It delivers these proteins for ER-associated degradation (ERAD), making it a topic in protein quality control and ER stress.

Reactivity Notes

The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt places protein OS-9 in the endoplasmic reticulum lumen. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Ubiquitously expressed. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.

Safety

Handling: the formulation contains sodium azide as a preservative. Wear gloves, avoid contact with skin and eyes, and dispose of waste according to local regulations. For research use only; not for diagnostic or therapeutic procedures.
Q.Which applications is this antibody validated for, and at what dilution?
A.Validated applications with suggested starting dilutions: Western blot 1:1000–1:5000; Immunohistochemistry 1:50–1:200; Immunocytochemistry / Immunofluorescence 1:50–1:200; Immunoprecipitation 1:50. Optimal dilutions should be determined by each laboratory.
Q.Which species does this antibody react with?
A.Validated reactivity: Human, Mouse, Rat. Other species are not listed by the supplier.
Q.What band size should be expected in Western blot?
A.Reported by the supplier: calculated molecular weight 75.6 kDa; observed bands at about 83 and 97 kDa. A difference from the calculated size is common and can reflect post-translational modification, processing or isoform differences.
Q.What immunogen was used to raise this antibody?
A.Synthetic peptide based on the sequence of human OS9.
Q.How should this antibody be stored?
A.Long term: −20 °C for up to 12 months. Frequent use: 4 °C for up to 1 month. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles.
