Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody detects oxysterol-binding protein-related protein 2 (gene OSBPL2) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, ICC/IF, flow cytometry and ELISA.
ORP2 (OSBPL2) is a lipid transfer protein of the oxysterol-binding protein family that binds sterols and phosphoinositides. It moves cholesterol to the plasma membrane in exchange for PI(4,5)P2, and OSBPL2 mutations have been linked to hereditary hearing loss.

Recombinant human OSBPL2 fragment (Glu6–Tyr480), expressed in E. coli. Sequence identity with the mouse ortholog: 89%.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt places oxysterol-binding protein-related protein 2 in the cytoplasm, cell membrane and cell projection. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Widely expressed.
