Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody recognizes oxysterol-binding protein-related protein 9 (gene OSBPL9) in human and mouse samples and is validated for Western blot, ICC/IF, flow cytometry and ELISA. The predicted molecular weight is 83.2 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 95 kDa.
ORP9 (OSBPL9) is a lipid transfer protein of the oxysterol-binding protein family. With ORP11 it acts at ER–trans-Golgi contact sites to exchange phosphatidylserine for PI4P, a step that supports sphingomyelin synthesis and Golgi lipid balance.

Validated Applications
| Western blot | 0.25–0.5 µg/mL (Human, Mouse) |
|---|---|
| Immunocytochemistry / Immunofluorescence | 5 µg/mL (Human) |
| Flow cytometry (fixed cells) | 1–3 µg/1×106 cells (Human) |
| ELISA | 0.1–0.5 µg/mL |
Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human Jurkat cells, mouse testis tissue.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.
Samples with confirmed staining (ICC/IF): U2OS cells.
Samples with a confirmed signal (flow cytometry): Raji cells.
Immunogen
Recombinant human OSBPL9 fragment (Asp27–Lys652), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human and mouse. UniProt places oxysterol-binding protein-related protein 9 in the late endosome membrane. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Widely expressed. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
