Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody recognizes oncostatin-M-specific receptor subunit beta (gene Osmr) in mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, flow cytometry and ELISA. The predicted molecular weight is 110.2 kDa; the supplier reports observed bands at 110,180 kDa.
OSMR (oncostatin M receptor β) is a cytokine receptor subunit shared by two complexes: with gp130 it forms the type II oncostatin M receptor, and with IL31RA it forms the IL-31 receptor. Through JAK–STAT signaling it regulates inflammation and tissue responses, and it is studied in itch, skin inflammation and fibrosis.

Validated Applications
| Western blot | 0.25–0.5 µg/mL (Mouse, Rat) |
|---|---|
| Flow cytometry (fixed cells) | 1–3 µg /1×106 cells (Mouse) |
| ELISA | 0.1–0.5 µg/mL |
Samples with a confirmed band (WB): rat C6 cells, rat L6 cells, mouse Neuro-2a cells, mouse C2C12 cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.
Samples with a confirmed signal (flow cytometry): C2C12 cells.
Immunogen
Recombinant mouse Osmr fragment (Glu673–Gln968), expressed in E. coli. Sequence identity with the human and rat orthologs: 57.7% and 86.9%, respectively.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with mouse and rat. UniProt places oncostatin-M-specific receptor subunit beta in the membrane. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (mouse): Widely expressed. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
