Product Overview
Clone 32B73 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes osteocalcin (gene BGLAP) in human samples and is validated for Western blot. The predicted molecular weight is 11.0 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 16 kDa.
Osteocalcin (BGLAP) is a small bone protein produced by osteoblasts that becomes γ-carboxylated in a vitamin K-dependent manner, allowing it to bind calcium and hydroxyapatite in bone matrix. It is one of the most abundant noncollagenous proteins of bone, and circulating osteocalcin is widely used as a marker of bone formation.
