Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody detects OTU domain-containing protein 5 (gene OTUD5) in human and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, ICC/IF and ELISA. The predicted molecular weight is 60.6 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 75 kDa.
OTUD5 (also called DUBA) is an OTU-family deubiquitinase that restrains innate immune responses. It removes ubiquitin chains from TRAF3 to suppress type I interferon production, and it also stabilizes chromatin regulators during neuroectodermal development.

Validated Applications
| Western blot | 0.25–0.5 µg/mL (Human, Rat) |
|---|---|
| Immunocytochemistry / Immunofluorescence | 5 µg/mL (Human) |
| ELISA | 0.1–0.5 µg/mL |
Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human 293T cells, human HeLa cells, human Jurkat cells, human K562 cells, rat liver tissue, rat C6 cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.
Samples with confirmed staining (ICC/IF): A431 cells.
Immunogen
Recombinant human OTUD5 fragment (Arg168–Asp555), expressed in E. coli. Sequence identity with the mouse and rat orthologs: 98.2% and 98.5%, respectively.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human and rat. UniProt places OTU domain-containing protein 5 in the nucleus. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Expressed in various tissues, including the liver and placenta, as well as in peripheral blood leukocytes. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
