Product Overview
Clone 21O72 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes homeobox protein OTX2 in human samples and is validated for Western blot. The predicted molecular weight is 31.6 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 32 kDa.
OTX2 is a bicoid-class homeodomain transcription factor needed to form the anterior head and brain. It controls forebrain and midbrain patterning and eye development, including retinal pigment epithelium and photoreceptor differentiation, and is a common marker in neurodevelopment and retinal research.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): Y79 cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Immunogen
Synthetic peptide based on the sequence of human otx2.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human. UniProt places homeobox protein OTX2 in the nucleus. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
