Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody recognizes serine/threonine-protein kinase OSR1 (gene OXSR1) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, flow cytometry, immunoprecipitation and ELISA. The predicted molecular weight is 58.0 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 58 kDa.
OSR1 (OXSR1) is a serine/threonine kinase acting downstream of WNK kinases in the WNK–SPAK/OSR1 cascade. Once activated, it phosphorylates cation-chloride cotransporters such as NKCC1, NKCC2 and NCC, and inhibits KCC family members, which controls cell volume, renal salt reabsorption and blood pressure.

Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.25 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.
Samples with a confirmed result (IP): U251 cells.
Samples with a confirmed signal (flow cytometry): MCF-7 cells.
Immunogen
Recombinant human OXSR1 fragment (Lys351–Ser527), expressed in E. coli. Sequence identity with the mouse and rat orthologs: 89.8% and 85.4%, respectively.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt places serine/threonine-protein kinase OSR1 in the cytoplasm. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Ubiquitously expressed in all tissue examined. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
