Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody recognizes P2X purinoceptor 4 (gene P2RX4) in human, monkey, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot. The predicted molecular weight is 43.4 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 72 kDa.
P2X4 (P2RX4) is an ATP-gated cation channel present on the cell surface and in lysosomes. It is highly expressed in immune cells and microglia, where it supports T-cell activation and microglial responses, and it is widely studied in neuropathic pain and neuroinflammation.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human HeLa cells, human MCF-7 cells, human A375 cells, human T-47D cells, human A549 cells, monkey COS-7 cells, rat NRK cells, rat RH-35 cells, mouse kidney tissue, mouse liver tissue, mouse RAW264.7 cells, mouse HEPA1–6 cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.
Immunogen
Recombinant human P2RX4 fragment (Asn262–Gln388), expressed in E. coli. Sequence identity with the mouse and rat orthologs: 91% and 90%, respectively.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, monkey, mouse and rat. UniProt places P2X purinoceptor 4 in the cell membrane and lysosome membrane. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
