Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody targets prolyl 3-hydroxylase 2 (gene P3H2) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC, ICC/IF, flow cytometry and ELISA.
Prolyl 3-hydroxylase 2 (P3H2, also called LEPREL1) is an endoplasmic reticulum enzyme that adds 3-hydroxyproline to collagens. It works best on type IV basement membrane collagen and also acts on type I collagen, and is studied in collagen maturation in tissues such as the eye.

Immunogen
Recombinant human P3H2 fragment (Glu106–Arg494), expressed in E. coli. Sequence identity with the mouse and rat orthologs: 88.9% and 89.5%, respectively.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt places prolyl 3-hydroxylase 2 in the endoplasmic reticulum, sarcoplasmic reticulum and Golgi apparatus. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Expression localized to the epithelia of bile ducts and to the sacroplasm of heart muscle and skeletal muscle.
