Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody recognizes neutrophil cytosol factor 1 (gene NCF1) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC, ICC/IF, flow cytometry and ELISA.
p47phox (NCF1) is the organizer subunit of the phagocyte NADPH oxidase NOX2. On cell activation it is phosphorylated and moves to the membrane, recruiting p67phox and assembling the active enzyme that produces superoxide for microbial killing. NCF1 deficiency is the most common autosomal form of chronic granulomatous disease.

Immunogen
Recombinant human p47 phox/NCF1 fragment (Gln22–Arg384), expressed in E. coli. Sequence identity with the mouse and rat orthologs: 81%.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt places neutrophil cytosol factor 1 in the cytoplasm and membrane. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Detected in peripheral blood monocytes and neutrophils (at protein level).
