Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody targets proprotein convertase subtilisin/kexin type 6 (gene PCSK6) in human and rat samples and is validated for Western blot. The predicted molecular weight is 106.4 kDa; the supplier reports observed bands at 80 kDa, 45/80/100 kDa.
PACE4 (PCSK6) is a secreted proprotein convertase that processes precursors at paired basic residues. Its substrates include growth factors of the TGF-β family and matrix proteins, and it helps regulate left–right patterning and other developmental processes.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): rat brain tissue, 293T cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.
Immunogen
Synthetic peptide from the C-terminal region of human PACE4. It differs from the rat sequence at two residues.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human and rat. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Each PACE4 isoform exhibits a unique restricted distribution. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
