Product Overview
Clone ABHG-19 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes plasminogen activator inhibitor 1 (gene SERPINE1) in human samples and is validated for Western blot, ICC/IF, immunoprecipitation and flow cytometry. The predicted molecular weight is 45.1 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 45 kDa.
Plasminogen activator inhibitor 1 (PAI-1, SERPINE1) is the main inhibitor of tissue-type and urokinase-type plasminogen activators and so acts as a brake on fibrinolysis. It also influences cell adhesion and migration and is strongly induced by TGF-β and other stimuli, making it a common target in studies of thrombosis, fibrosis, metabolism and cancer.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human U251 cells, human A549 cells, human U2OS cells, human HepG2 cells, human A431 cells, human U-87MG cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 10% SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 1: 500 overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.
Immunogen
Synthetic peptide based on the sequence of human PAI1.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human. UniProt describes plasminogen activator inhibitor 1 as a secreted protein. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Expressed in endothelial cells. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
