Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody targets serine/threonine-protein kinase PAK 3 (gene PAK3) in mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot. The predicted molecular weight is 62.3 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 62 kDa.
PAK3 is a brain-enriched serine/threonine kinase activated by CDC42 and RAC1. In neurons it supports dendritic spine formation and synapse plasticity, and mutations in the X-linked PAK3 gene are associated with intellectual disability.

Validated Applications
| Western blot | 0.1–0.5 µg/mL (Mouse, Rat) |
|---|
Samples with a confirmed band (WB): rat brain tissue, mouse brain tissue.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 10% SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.
Immunogen
Synthetic peptide from the N-terminal region of human PAK3. The peptide sequence is conserved in mouse and rat.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with mouse and rat. UniProt places serine/threonine-protein kinase PAK 3 in the cytoplasm. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Restricted to the nervous system. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
