Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody recognizes PRKC apoptosis WT1 regulator protein (gene Pawr) in mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC, ICC/IF, flow cytometry and ELISA. The predicted molecular weight is 35.9 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 45 kDa.
Par-4 (PAWR, prostate apoptosis response-4) is a pro-apoptotic protein first identified in prostate cancer cells undergoing apoptosis. It can trigger apoptosis selectively in cancer cells, in part by inhibiting NF-κB and working with WT1 to repress BCL2, and is studied as a tumor suppressor.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): rat kidney tissue, rat stomach tissue, rat liver tissue, rat testis tissue, mouse liver tissue, mouse pancreas tissue, mouse testis tissue, mouse HEPA1–6 cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 50 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 1:100, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.
Samples with confirmed staining (IHC): mouse brain tissue, rat intestine tissue.
Recommended antigen retrieval: heat-mediated, in TE buffer (pH 9.0); citrate buffer (pH 6.0) can be used instead.
Conditions in the example images (IHC): heat-mediated antigen retrieval in EDTA buffer (pH 8.0).
Samples with confirmed staining (ICC/IF): MFC cells.
Samples with a confirmed signal (flow cytometry): HEPA1–6 cells.
Immunogen
Recombinant mouse PAR4/Pawr fragment (Thr13–Arg333), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with mouse and rat. UniProt places PRKC apoptosis WT1 regulator protein in the cytoplasm and nucleus. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
