Overview

This product is an anti-PARD6A antibody for target detection and characterization. Key identifiers include host species: Rabbit; Monoclonal; clone AEDE-16; isotype Rabbit IgG; reactivity: Human,Mouse,Rat. Reported application contexts include WB, IP (as provided in the source record). Boster Bio Anti-PAR6 Monoclonal Antibody catalog # M04207. Tested in WB, IP applications. This antibody reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat.

Key elements and design rationale

  • Target: PARD6A (Laminin subunit alpha-3).
  • Antibody format: Monoclonal; clone AEDE-16; isotype Rabbit IgG.
  • Host: Rabbit.
  • Species reactivity: Human,Mouse,Rat (confirm in your model system with appropriate controls).

This description is intended to help interpret the antibody design and the biological context of the target using the fields provided in the catalog record, alongside general experimental considerations.

Biological background

PARD6A (protein: T-cell surface glycoprotein CD3 zeta chain) is a commonly studied target in molecular and cellular biology. Functional context (as provided): Binding to cells via a high affinity receptor, laminin is thought to mediate the attachment, migration and organization of cells into tissues during embryonic development by interacting with other extracellular matrix components. Reported cellular localization context: Secreted, extracellular space, extracellular matrix, basement membrane. Major component. Tissue expression notes (as provided): Skin; respiratory, urinary, and digestive epithelia and in other specialized tissues with prominent secretory or protective functions. Epithelial basement membrane, and epithelial cell tongue that migrates into a wound bed. A differential and focal expression of the subunit alpha-3 is observed in the CNS.

Research relevance and current trends

  • Research context keywords from the source record include: Cytoskeleton/ECM,Microfilaments,Signal Transduction.
  • Current studies often focus on connecting target abundance/localization to pathway perturbations across models, tissues, and cell states.
  • Quantitative and multiplexed assays (e.g., imaging + immunoblot panels) are commonly used to compare phenotypes across conditions and time-courses.

Common research applications

  • Western blotting (WB): assess relative target abundance across samples, treatments, or time-points.
  • Immunoprecipitation (IP): enrich target complexes for downstream immunoblot or interaction analyses.

Workflow ideas (metafield): Validate PARD6A antibody specificity using KO/KD control samples (WB/IF/IHC as appropriate), Detect PARD6A expression by Western blot in cell or tissue lysates, Enrich PARD6A by immunoprecipitation from lysates for downstream analysis

Notes for experimental interpretation

  • Consider isoforms and post-translational modifications (PTMs) that may shift apparent molecular weight or epitope accessibility.
  • Apparent molecular weight may vary by sample type and processing (observed MW: 50 kDa; calculated MW: 366649 MW).
  • Control concepts: include appropriate negative controls (e.g., isotype, KO/KD samples) and orthogonal validation when feasible.

Additional product details (from the source record)

  • Molecular weight (observed): 50 kDa
  • Cellular localization (provided): Secreted, extracellular space, extracellular matrix, basement membrane. Major component.
  • Tissue details (provided): Skin; respiratory, urinary, and digestive epithelia and in other specialized tissues with prominent secretory or protective functions. Epithelial basement membrane, and epithelial cell tongue that migrates into a wound bed. A differential and focal expression of the subunit alpha-3 is observed in the CNS.

We are currently using anti-PAR6 Monoclonal antibody M04207 for rat tissue, and we are happy with the IP results. The species of reactivity given in the datasheet says human, mouse, rat. Is it possible that the antibody can work on goat tissues as well?
The anti-PAR6 Monoclonal antibody (M04207) has not been validated for cross reactivity specifically with goat tissues, but there is a good chance of cross reactivity. We have an innovator award program that if you test this antibody and show it works in goat you can get your next antibody for free. Please contact me if I can help you with anything.
