Product Overview
Clone 18P78 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes poly (gene PARP2) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, ICC/IF and flow cytometry. The predicted molecular weight is 66.2 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 66 kDa.
PARP2 is a nuclear poly(ADP-ribose) polymerase closely related to PARP1. It is activated by DNA breaks and adds ADP-ribose chains to proteins to support DNA repair, and together with PARP1 it is inhibited by clinical PARP inhibitors.

Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Immunogen
Synthetic peptide based on the sequence of human PARP2.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt places poly in the nucleus and chromosome. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Widely expressed, mainly in actively dividing tissues. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
