Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody detects protocadherin alpha-13 (gene PCDHA13) in human samples and is validated for Western blot, flow cytometry and ELISA. The predicted molecular weight is 102.5 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 102 kDa.
Protocadherin α-13 (PCDHA13) is a member of the clustered α-protocadherin family of Ca2+-dependent cell adhesion molecules. These proteins are expressed in the nervous system and are studied for their roles in neuronal self-recognition and connectivity.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human PC-3 cells, human U2OS cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.
Samples with a confirmed signal (flow cytometry): PC-3 cells.
Immunogen
Recombinant human PCDHA13 fragment (Asn165–Glu349), expressed in E. coli. Sequence identity with the mouse ortholog: 58.9%.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human. UniProt places protocadherin alpha-13 in the cell membrane. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
