Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody targets protocadherin gamma-A2 (gene PCDHGA2) in human and mouse samples and is validated for Western blot and ELISA. The predicted molecular weight is 101.5 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 90 kDa.
Protocadherin γ-A2 (PCDHGA2) is a member of the clustered γ-protocadherins, Ca2+-dependent adhesion proteins expressed in neurons. The γ-protocadherins have been linked to neuronal survival, dendrite self-avoidance and synapse development.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human MCF-7 cells, human A549 cells, mouse lung tissue.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.
Immunogen
Recombinant human PCDHGA2 fragment (Arg132–Asp444), expressed in E. coli. Sequence identity with the mouse ortholog: 60.3%.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human and mouse. UniProt places protocadherin gamma-A2 in the cell membrane. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
