Product Overview
Clone 21P82 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes choline-phosphate cytidylyltransferase A (gene PCYT1A) in human samples and is validated for Western blot, ICC/IF, immunoprecipitation and flow cytometry. The predicted molecular weight is 41.7 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 42 kDa.
CCTα (PCYT1A) is CTP:phosphocholine cytidylyltransferase, the rate-limiting enzyme of the CDP-choline (Kennedy) pathway that makes phosphatidylcholine. It is activated by binding to membranes and is studied in membrane lipid synthesis and lipid droplet biology.
