Product Overview

Clone 27P31 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes programmed cell death protein 7 (gene PDCD7) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC and ICC/IF. The predicted molecular weight is 54.7 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 55 kDa.

PDCD7 (programmed cell death 7) is a poorly characterized protein that promotes apoptosis when overexpressed in cells. It has also been described as a component of the minor (U12-type) spliceosome, and its normal physiological function remains under investigation.

Target Programmed cell death protein 7 (gene PDCD7; UniProt Q8N8D1, human)

Validated Applications

Western blot 1:500–1:2000
Immunohistochemistry 1:50–1:200
Immunocytochemistry / Immunofluorescence 1:50–1:200

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): Jurkat cells.

Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.

Immunogen

Synthetic peptide based on the sequence of human PDCD7.

Reactivity Notes

The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt places programmed cell death protein 7 in the nucleus. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.

Safety

Handling: the formulation contains sodium azide as a preservative. Wear gloves, avoid contact with skin and eyes, and dispose of waste according to local regulations. For research use only; not for diagnostic or therapeutic procedures.

A.Validated applications with suggested starting dilutions: Western blot 1:500–1:2000; Immunohistochemistry 1:50–1:200; Immunocytochemistry / Immunofluorescence 1:50–1:200. Optimal dilutions should be determined by each laboratory.
Q.Which species does this antibody react with?
A.Validated reactivity: Human, Mouse, Rat. Other species are not listed by the supplier.
Q.What band size should be expected in Western blot?
A.Reported by the supplier: calculated molecular weight 54.7 kDa; observed band at about 55 kDa.
Q.What immunogen was used to raise this antibody?
A.Synthetic peptide based on the sequence of human PDCD7.
Q.How should this antibody be stored?
A.Long term: −20 °C for up to 12 months. Frequent use: 4 °C for up to 1 month. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles.
