Product Overview
Clone 31P34 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes platelet-derived growth factor subunit B (gene PDGFB) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot. The predicted molecular weight is 27.3 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 27 kDa.
PDGF-B is a growth factor that forms PDGF-BB homodimers or PDGF-AB heterodimers and signals through PDGF receptors. It is a strong mitogen for fibroblasts and smooth muscle cells, recruits pericytes to new blood vessels and contributes to wound healing.

Immunogen
Synthetic peptide based on the sequence of human PDGF B.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt describes platelet-derived growth factor subunit B as a secreted protein. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Expressed at high levels in the heart, brain (sustantia nigra), placenta and fetal kidney.
