Product Overview
Clone 29P12 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes peflin (gene PEF1) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot. The predicted molecular weight is 30.4 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 30 kDa.
Peflin (PEF1) is a penta-EF-hand calcium-binding protein that forms a heterodimer with ALG-2 (PDCD6). Together they act as a Ca2+-regulated adaptor for the CUL3-KLHL12 ubiquitin ligase and the COPII protein SEC31, influencing ER-to-Golgi export of large cargo such as collagen, although whether peflin promotes or restrains this step is still debated.
