Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody detects PGC-1 and ERR-induced regulator in muscle protein 1 (gene PERM1) in human samples and is validated for Western blot, ICC/IF, flow cytometry and ELISA.
PERM1 is a muscle-enriched protein induced by the coactivator PGC-1α and the nuclear receptors ERRα/γ. It helps activate selected PGC-1/ERR target genes for mitochondrial biogenesis, oxidative capacity, glucose uptake and contractile function in skeletal and heart muscle, and it is studied in muscle energy metabolism.

Immunogen
Recombinant human PERM1 fragment (Arg69–Asn763), expressed in E. coli. Sequence identity with the mouse ortholog: 50.1%.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human. UniProt places PGC-1 and ERR-induced regulator in muscle protein 1 in the cytoplasm and nucleus. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Muscle-specific expression is increased by endurance exercise.
