Product Overview

This rabbit polyclonal antibody targets peroxisomal biogenesis factor 19 (gene PEX19) in human samples and is validated for Western blot, flow cytometry and ELISA.

PEX19 is a mainly cytosolic farnesylated protein that acts as both chaperone and import receptor for peroxisomal membrane proteins. It binds newly made membrane proteins through their hydrophobic segments, keeps them soluble, and delivers them to PEX3 on the peroxisome. PEX19 is essential for peroxisome formation and is studied in organelle biogenesis.
