Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody targets 6-phosphofructo-2-kinase/fructose-2,6-bisphosphatase 4 (gene PFKFB4) in human samples and is validated for Western blot and ELISA. The predicted molecular weight is 54.0 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 54 kDa.
PFKFB4 is the testis-type isoform of 6-phosphofructo-2-kinase/fructose-2,6-bisphosphatase that synthesizes and degrades fructose 2,6-bisphosphate, a regulator of glycolysis. It is also expressed in several tumor types, where it has been studied for its roles in glycolytic flux and cancer cell survival.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human 293T cells, human Raji cells, human PC-3 cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.
Immunogen
Recombinant human PFKFB4 fragment (Met1–Lys298), expressed in E. coli. Sequence identity with the mouse and rat orthologs: 97.3% and 97%, respectively.
