Product Overview
Clone 20P41 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes phosphoglycerate mutase 1 (gene PGAM1) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot and flow cytometry. The predicted molecular weight is 28.8 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 29 kDa.
Phosphoglycerate mutase 1 (PGAM1) is the brain and non-muscle isoform of the glycolytic enzyme that converts 3-phosphoglycerate to 2-phosphoglycerate, using 2,3-bisphosphoglycerate as a cofactor. It is often upregulated in cancer cells, where it also affects the pentose phosphate pathway and biosynthesis, and it is studied in tumor metabolism.
