Product Overview
Clone AEFF-8 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes 15-hydroxyprostaglandin dehydrogenase (gene HPGD) in human samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC, ICC/IF and flow cytometry. The predicted molecular weight is 29.0 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 29 kDa.
15-hydroxyprostaglandin dehydrogenase (HPGD, also called 15-PGDH) uses NAD+ to oxidize the 15-hydroxyl group of prostaglandins and related lipid mediators, which inactivates them. It is the main enzyme that breaks down prostaglandin E2, and it is studied in inflammation, tissue regeneration and as a gene often lost in tumors.
