Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody detects phosphopentomutase (gene PGM2) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, ICC/IF, flow cytometry and ELISA.
PGM2 (phosphopentomutase) mainly converts ribose 1-phosphate and deoxyribose 1-phosphate, produced by nucleoside breakdown, into the corresponding 5-phosphates. This lets these sugars re-enter the pentose phosphate pathway, and PGM2 also has weaker phosphoglucomutase activity. It is studied in nucleotide salvage and sugar phosphate metabolism.
