Product Overview
Clone 28C46 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase CBL phosphorylated at Ser669 in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot. The predicted molecular weight is 99.6 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 120 kDa.
c-Cbl (CBL) is a RING-type E3 ubiquitin ligase that negatively regulates signaling by activated receptor tyrosine kinases such as EGFR and by other signaling proteins. It binds phosphorylated targets through its tyrosine kinase-binding domain and tags them for internalization and degradation. CBL mutations occur in myeloid neoplasms, including juvenile myelomonocytic leukemia.

Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt places E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase CBL in the cytoplasm, cell membrane, cell projection and Golgi apparatus. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls. Because the antibody is phospho-specific, signal depends on the phosphorylation state of the sample; a phosphatase-treated lysate is a useful negative control.
