Product Overview
Clone 32E64 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes receptor tyrosine-protein kinase erbB-3 (gene ERBB3) phosphorylated at Tyr1289 in human samples and is validated for Western blot. The predicted molecular weight is 148.1 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 185 kDa.
HER3 (ERBB3) is an EGFR-family receptor for neuregulins with weak intrinsic kinase activity. It signals mainly as a heterodimer with HER2, which phosphorylates HER3 and creates docking sites for PI3K, making HER3 a strong activator of AKT signaling. It is studied in development and in resistance to targeted cancer therapies.

Immunogen
Synthetic phosphopeptide around Tyr1289 of human erbB 3.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Epithelial tissues and brain. Because the antibody is phospho-specific, signal depends on the phosphorylation state of the sample; a phosphatase-treated lysate is a useful negative control.
