Product Overview
Clone DHF-7 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes trans-acting T-cell-specific transcription factor GATA-3 (gene GATA3) phosphorylated at Ser308 in human samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC and immunoprecipitation. The predicted molecular weight is 47.9 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 48 kDa.
GATA3 is a zinc-finger transcription factor best known as the master regulator of T helper 2 (Th2) cell differentiation and a key factor for T-cell development. It also controls development of the kidney, inner ear and mammary gland, and it is widely used as a marker of luminal breast and urothelial carcinomas.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): Jurkat cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Samples with confirmed staining (IHC): human bladder cancer tissue.
Recommended antigen retrieval: heat-mediated, in TE buffer (pH 9.0); citrate buffer (pH 6.0) can be used instead.

Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human. UniProt places trans-acting T-cell-specific transcription factor GATA-3 in the nucleus. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): T-cells and endothelial cells. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls. Because the antibody is phospho-specific, signal depends on the phosphorylation state of the sample; a phosphatase-treated lysate is a useful negative control.
