Product Overview
Clone 30R10 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes retinoblastoma-like protein 2 (gene RBL2) phosphorylated at Thr986 in human and mouse samples and is validated for Western blot and immunoprecipitation. The predicted molecular weight is 128.4 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 128 kDa.
RBL2 (p130) is a retinoblastoma family protein that represses E2F-driven genes, pairing mainly with E2F4 and E2F5 to keep cells in a quiescent state. It also binds cyclin A and cyclin E complexes and helps maintain heterochromatin, and its phosphorylation status is followed in cell cycle and tumor suppressor studies.

Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human and mouse. UniProt places retinoblastoma-like protein 2 in the nucleus. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls. Because the antibody is phospho-specific, signal depends on the phosphorylation state of the sample; a phosphatase-treated lysate is a useful negative control.
