Product Overview
Clone 32P59 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes platelet-derived growth factor receptor beta (gene PDGFRB) phosphorylated at Tyr1021 in mouse samples and is validated for Western blot. The predicted molecular weight is 124.0 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 175 kDa.
PDGFRβ is a receptor tyrosine kinase activated by PDGF-BB, PDGF-AB and PDGF-DD. Its signaling recruits pericytes and vascular smooth muscle cells to growing blood vessels and drives mesenchymal cell proliferation and migration, so it is a common pericyte marker and is studied in vascular development, fibrosis and cancer.

Immunogen
Synthetic phosphopeptide around Tyr1021 of human PDGF Receptor beta / CD140b.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with mouse. UniProt places platelet-derived growth factor receptor beta in the cell membrane, cytoplasmic vesicle and lysosome lumen. Because the antibody is phospho-specific, signal depends on the phosphorylation state of the sample; a phosphatase-treated lysate is a useful negative control.
